The ChatPlus app of our social networking software revolutionizes the way users connect and communicate with one another. With its user-friendly interface and robust functionality, our ChatPlus app provides a seamless and immersive messaging experience for individuals and groups alike, including support for audio and video chat, indicators for read and typing status, as well as additional features like Pin Message and React to Messages.
Real-time Messaging

Indicators for Read and Typing
To enhance the messaging experience, our Chat feature includes indicators for read and typing status. Users can see when their messages have been read by their contacts, providing clarity on the status of their communication. Additionally, when someone is typing a message, a "typing" indicator is displayed, letting users know that a response is on the way. These indicators promote transparency and enable users to gauge the responsiveness of their conversations.
Pin Message
Our Chat feature allows users to pin important messages within their conversations. By pinning a message, users can easily access and refer back to crucial information, reminders, or any content they want to highlight. This feature is especially useful for storing important links, addresses, or event details, ensuring that they remain easily accessible within the chat thread.
React to Messages
Users can express their reactions to messages through a range of emojis or custom reactions. With this feature, users can simply click on a reaction to convey their emotions, opinions, or appreciation without having to type a response. Reacting to messages adds an interactive and expressive element to the conversation, making it more engaging and enjoyable for participants.
Multimedia Sharing
In addition to audio and video chat, our Chat feature allows users to share a wide range of multimedia content. Users can send photos, videos, audio clips, and documents, enriching their conversations and making them more engaging. Emojis
To add fun and expressiveness to conversations, our Chat feature offers a rich collection of emojis. Message History and Search
Our ChatPlus feature ensures that users can easily access their message history. Conversations are securely stored and readily available for users to review, reference, and reminisce. Moreover, the search functionality allows users to quickly find specific messages or keywords within their chat history, enabling efficient navigation and retrieval of information.
Notifications and Presence Indicators
Users stay connected and informed through real-time notifications. They receive alerts when new messages arrive or when audio/video calls are initiated, ensuring that they never miss important conversations or updates. Additionally, presence indicatorsshow users' online/offline status, indicating their availability to chat, which helps facilitate timely communication and coordination.

Archive Chat
ChatPlus includes the ability to archive chats. Users can archive conversations that they no longer actively engage in, but still want to keep for future reference. This helps in organizing the chat list and decluttering the active chat interface, while still allowing users to access archived conversations whenever needed. Archived chats can be easily retrieved, ensuring that important messages and information are always within reach.
System Requirements
ChatPlus server requires to be installed on a dedicated server or VPS using Linux OS (such as Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc). And, generally, the more powerful server is, the more users Chatplus can handle.
Installation Guide
This guide aims to assist you in installing apps in your MetaFox site's AdminCP. Ensure that you have administrative access to the MetaFox site.
If you have already purchased the app licenses on the Appstore.
- Let's log into AdminCP > Apps > Purchased
If you have not purchased the app licenses.
- Let's log into AdminCP > Apps > Find More
- Search and then view the app you would like to purchase.
- You can click on the Purchase button to process payment via PayPal.
- Once payment is made successfully, the app license will automatically be added and associated with your MetaFox license. You will verify your purchase in the AdminCP > Apps > Purchased.
Installation
- Now, click on the app you want to install.
- Click on the Install/Reinstall button to start installing the app. Wait for the installation to complete.
- During the installation, the site will send a build request to the MetaFox Build service to build a front-end web with the new app. Thus, the app may take a few minutes to display on the front end.
- After installing successfully, you can reload the AdminCP and start configuring the app as needed by going to AdminCP > App Settings, searching for the newly installed app, and accessing its settings.
